One month after the Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development’s working visit to the mining sites in the Mbéré department, the operators of the locality of Gankombol have started work to restore the soil. It is in fact the closure of certain excavations born as a result of mining activity , in accordance with the provisions of the Mining Code. This is particularly the case for the company ANDY OR, which thus demonstrates through this act, its commitment to comply with the regulations in force.
As a reminder, Minister Gabriel Dodo Ndokè had given firm instructions during the descent that he carried out in certain mining sites from August 18 to 24, 2019, with the aim of putting an end to the non-restoration of the sites by the mining operators, which constitutes a real danger for the environment. In the coming days, this activity will continue at the Malewa and Ngoura sites in the Eastern region.
